An understanding of Tagalog is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean all kitchenware, utensils, and cookware according to food safety sanitizing procedures
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including organizing supplies and preparing ingredients under supervision
• Support the kitchen team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and prep areas
• Follow strict sanitation standards to ensure all surfaces, equipment, and utensils meet health and safety regulations
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and boxes of supplies safely and correctly
• Support food handling procedures by ensuring proper storage and disposal of waste and leftovers
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly sanitizing workstations and adhering to kitchen health and safety standards

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools
• Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards with a focus on sanitation and hygiene practices
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support various roles within the kitchen or dining area
• The ability to speak Tagalog is a plus but not a necessity.
