Location: Santa Monica, CA

Starting Pay: $19/hour, with opportunities for increases based on performance

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 10am–5:30pm; Saturday availability required during December; additional Saturday shifts may be available at other times.

About Cookie Good

Cookie Good is a family-owned Santa Monica bakery specializing in fun, uniquely flavored cookies and brownies. We’re a close-knit crew that enjoys working together, and we’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Assistant to keep our kitchen clean and help with daily baking tasks.

This position is primarily dishwashing and cleaning, with some baking and packing assistance. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a busy kitchen spotless and enjoys being part of a team.

What You’ll Do

• Wash large mixing bowls, sheet pans, utensils, and other bakery equipment.
• Clean equipment, speed racks, refrigerators, and freezers, and help deep-clean commercial ovens.
• Sanitize prep tables, clean bathrooms, empty trash, dust, sweep, and mop.
• Help scoop cookie dough, cut brownies, weigh ingredients, and wrap or pack cookies and brownies as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience washing dishes or cleaning in a commercial kitchen or bakery.
• Thorough cleaning habits and an understanding of how to use cleaning products safely. We’ll train you on our equipment and procedures.
• Someone who works efficiently, notices what needs attention, and can work independently.
• A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to help wherever needed.
• Ability to work on your feet for most of the shift and lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• A current California Food Handler card or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
