Dishwasher/Kitchen Help

Overview

Join our kitchen team as a Dishwasher and Kitchen Helper and become an integral part in creating an exceptional cafe experience. This role is ideal for a motivated, independent individual who is eager to support bakery operations through cleaning, organizing, pastry preparation, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper dishwashing procedures to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Support the cleaning and sanitizing of all kitchen surfaces, appliances, and storage areas in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, moving equipment, and organizing storage areas safely.
• Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
• Organize and put away leftover event products and supplies, and clean event vans/cars.
• Organize freezer and pastry inventory.
• Assist with prep work, including mixing creams and fillings, prepping second-bake croissants, and traying pastries for overnight proofing.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
• Basic knife skills or experience with food preparation techniques is a plus.

Pay: $18.70 - $20.70 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
