Duties

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment thoroughly to uphold high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients and supplies for meal service
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure a hygienic environment
• Support the kitchen team during busy meal times by helping with food handling and serving when needed
• Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed to promote sustainability
• Restock supplies and assist with organizing dishware and utensils for efficient workflow
• Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation to prevent contamination or accidents

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper handling of kitchen tools and equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
• Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing workspaces
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health regulations

Previous kitchen experience is an asset. spanish-speaking applicants are preferred.
