Dishwasher/Prep

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing excellent service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash as needed.
• Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
• Ensure that all items are returned to their designated places after washing.
• Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean working environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary operations are essential for success in this role.
