Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen and dining areas while assisting in food preparation and cooking. Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
• Buss tables and assist with dining room setup as needed during busy service periods.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service for guests.
• Participate in inventory management by keeping track of supplies and reporting shortages.
• Support catering events and banquets by preparing food items as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food handling safety practices is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration with colleagues.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new culinary techniques is a plus.
