Dishwasher/Steward

Job Overview

As a Dishwasher/Steward, you’ll keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service. You’ll wash dishes and cookware, sanitize food-contact surfaces, and support the team with bussing and basic food preparation. This active role calls for careful food handling, safe use of kitchen equipment, and consistent attention to kitchen health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools using approved procedures.
• Clean and maintain work areas, floors, and equipment; follow food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices.
• Support bussing and basic food preparation, using knife skills and safe food handling when assigned.
• Operate kitchen equipment according to instructions and follow food safety and kitchen health and safety standards.
• Your impact: By keeping dishes and work areas clean and service-ready, you help kitchen staff prepare food safely and guests enjoy a smooth dining experience.

Experience

• Food service, restaurant, or kitchen experience is helpful; dishwashing experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety management and food safety practices is preferred.
• Ability to perform manual handling, including lifting and moving kitchen supplies and dish racks, and to stay active during shifts.
• Reliability, teamwork, and care in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen are important.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week
