Salary: Starting at $16.50/hr, based on experience

Schedule: Part Time, 8pm-11pm

SUMMARY

The Dining Utility Team Member is responsible organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing kitchen facilities, dining and lounge facilities, dining services equipment, and china glass and silver.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean kitchen and dining service area floors, hard surfaces, storage areas, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with all daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Prepare china, glass, silver, utensils, pots and pans, and equipment for cleaning by rinsing and pre-soaking as appropriate.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and 3-compartment sinks to properly clean and sanitize china, glass, silver, utensils, pots and pans, and equipment components.
• Test dishwashing equipment and 3- compartment sinks for proper operating temperature and levels of sanitizer in accordance with safe food handling guidelines.
• Transport and store clean small wares to their proper storage place.
• Dispose of all wet garbage, trash, and cardboard boxes throughout the work shift in order to maintain a clean, uncluttered and safe work environment.
• Assist with proper storage of all food and supply deliveries and break down and removal of resulting trash.
• Attend training courses and participate in other professional development activities as required.
• Report any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect as outlined in Personnel Policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Maintain required safe food handling certification or permits required by applicable law or Community policy. and follow all applicable food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance and follow the dress code outlined in the employee handbook.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, rotating shifts, and occasional overtime.
• Must be able to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.
• Able to stand and walk short distances for extended periods.
• Ability to read and understand English sufficiently to safely perform job duties, follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate effectively.
• Able to stoop, bend at the knees, twist at the waist, and reach above, below, and at shoulder level.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist height and 40 lbs. to shoulder height.
