What they need
About the role
We’re looking for a strong, organised, energetic and solutions-focused Dispatch & Retail Manager to join our small team in Hastings.
Home to St Andrews Limes, Six Barrel Soda Co. and Cameo Café Syrups, we manufacture and distribute a growing range of New Zealand-made beverages, syrups and citrus products from our Hawke’s Bay base.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who loves keeping things organised, takes pride in getting things right and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
You'll take ownership of our day-to-day dispatch operation, ensuring wholesale and online orders leave our warehouse accurately and on time, while also looking after our cellar door retail operation and coordinating our weekly Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market presence.
What you'll be doing
- Process, pack and dispatch wholesale and online orders accurately in timely order
- Coordinate couriers, freight and pallet collections
- Keep on top of stock, packaging and consumable requirements
- Resolve freight, delivery, return and order discrepancies
- Work closely with our Operations and Production Managers on restock products across all brands
- Serve customers and keep our onsite cellar door looking sharp and well stocked
- Prepare stock and equipment for our Sunday Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market and run our stall
- Pitch in across the wider operation when required.
About you
We're looking for someone who is resourceful, proactive and a natural problem solver - someone who sees what needs doing, thinks creatively and makes it happen.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in dispatch, warehousing, stock/inventory, retail, hospitality and/or customer service
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confidence using computer systems and the ability to learn new ones quickly
- Great communication skills and a genuine customer-service mindset
- The ability to work independently, prioritise and stay calm when things get busy
- A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- A full NZ driver's licence.
This is an active role involving regular packing, lifting and moving of stock. You will need to be comfortable safely handling many boxes that weigh up to 25kg daily and stacking pallets of product as required.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8.30am–4.30pm
Sunday - 7.00am–1.00pm – Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market
Friday & Saturday off
You'll also benefit from a thorough handover from our long-standing Warehouse Manager, giving you plenty of time to learn our products, customers and systems before taking full ownership of the role.
Why join us?
We're a small, growing Hawke’s Bay food and beverage business where everyone plays a part.
You'll have genuine responsibility, plenty of variety and the opportunity to make the role your own. We value people who take initiative, find solutions and are always looking for smarter ways to get things done.
If you enjoy keeping things moving, solving problems, working with people and being part of a close-knit team, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply with your CV and a short cover letter telling us a little about yourself and why this role appeals to you.
Other offers great for you!
