SUMMARY: Our client in the Steel Industry has an urgent vacancy for a Dispatch Coordinator in Rustenburg.

POSITION INFO: Our client is looking for an experienced and hands-on Dispatch Coordinator to manage and coordinate the dispatch, preparation and loading of materials for delivery. The successful candidate must have practical experience in dispatch operations, identifying materials against contracts/delivery requirements, preparing and packing materials, and efficiently loading trucks . The successful candidate must be highly organised, accurate and able to work under pressure while ensuring that all required materials are correctly identified, marked, accounted for and loaded before the vehicle leaves for site. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the complete dispatch and loading process . Identify and verify contract-specific materials and items required for each delivery. Ensure all materials are correctly identified, marked and allocated to the relevant contract/project . Plan the loading of trucks according to the delivery requirements, available space, weight and sequence of materials. Ensure that all items required for a delivery are loaded before the truck departs. Mark and record each item/material as loaded to prevent shortages, omissions or duplicate loading. Conduct final checks against dispatch lists, delivery notes, packing lists and contract requirements . Assist with the packing and preparation of materials onto pallets before loading. Ensure materials are properly packed, secured and protected against damage during transportation. Assist with and supervise the physical loading of materials onto trucks . Plan the loading sequence to ensure materials can be safely and efficiently unloaded at the destination. Liaise with workshop, stores, production, contracts and transport personnel regarding dispatch requirements. Ensure that the correct materials are dispatched to the correct site/project. Identify discrepancies, shortages or incorrect materials before loading and report these to management. Ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately and accompanies the load. Take photographs or maintain records of loaded materials where required. Ensure trucks are loaded in a safe, organised and efficient manner. Maintain accurate dispatch and loading records. Ensure that signed delivery documentation is returned and filed after delivery. Comply with all company Health & Safety, quality and dispatch procedures . Perform other dispatch-related duties as required by management. Minimum Requirements Previous experience in a Dispatch Coordinator / Dispatch Controller / Logistics / Stores / Loading position (3 years +). Proven practical experience with loading materials onto trucks . Experience in identifying and checking materials against contracts, project requirements, packing lists or delivery documentation . Experience in planning and coordinating truck loads . Experience with packing materials onto pallets and preparing items for transportation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organisational and planning skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery deadlines. Good communication skills. Computer literate. Ability to work effectively with workshop, stores, production and transport teams. Afrikaans and English proficiency will be advantageous.
