What they need
Red Ribbon Bakery is looking for an organised Dispatch Coordinator to make sure our fresh bread, cakes and pastries reach every customer on time, in the right quantity and in perfect condition. You will plan daily dispatch, help pack orders, coordinate the delivery team, handle goods returns and keep orders, stock and paperwork accurate across our supermarket, hypermarket and retail customers.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and consolidate daily customer orders (LPOs) and confirm quantities with production before the dispatch cut-off.
- Plan delivery routes and load sequences for each van so every outlet is served within its receiving window.
- Take an active part in packing: pack finished products into crates and trays by customer order, check counts and labels, and keep the packing area clean and organised.
- Supervise loading, check products against delivery notes, and make sure each customer receives the right items at the right price list.
- Coordinate drivers and delivery staff, handle on-the-day changes, and resolve late, short or wrong deliveries quickly.
- Ensure freshness, hygiene and temperature standards during loading and transport, in line with food safety rules.
- Carry out GRV counts: check returned goods against each GRV, record expired and damaged items, reconcile the figures with sales and accounts, and report trends to sales and production.
- Issue and file delivery notes, invoices and signed proofs of delivery, and update dispatch records in the ERP system.
- Track vehicle usage, fuel, maintenance and Salik costs, and flag issues to the manager.
- Prepare daily and weekly dispatch reports: deliveries completed, on-time rate, returns and customer complaints.
- Keep good working relationships with receiving staff at supermarkets and hypermarkets such as Nesto and Al Maya.
Requirements
- 1–2 years’ experience in dispatch, logistics or distribution, ideally in a bakery, FMCG or food company in the UAE.
- Good knowledge of UAE roads and delivery routes, especially [Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates].
- Confident using Excel and an ERP or inventory system for orders, delivery notes and invoices.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to stay calm under early-morning time pressure.
- Clear communication in English; Arabic, Hindi, Malayalam or Tagalog is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain or business is preferred.
Advantages: a valid UAE driving licence, food safety or HACCP awareness, and experience dealing with supermarket receiving teams.
Working hours
Early-morning shift, typically [3:00 am to 12:00 pm], [six] days a week, as fresh bakery dispatch starts before stores open. Flexibility is needed during peak seasons and holidays.
What we offer
- Salary of AED 2,500 – 3,000 per month, based on experience
- UAE employment visa, medical insurance and annual air ticket as per company policy
- [Accommodation / transport allowance]
- Annual leave and end-of-service benefits as per UAE Labour Law
