We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatch Manager to lead our transportation and logistics operations. Duties

• Manage daily dispatch activities for freight and vehicle movements, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups in accordance with customer requirements and DOT regulations
• Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management to plan routes, monitor shipments, and analyze operational data for continuous improvement
• Coordinate with internal teams including customer service, shipping & receiving, fleet management, and logistics to facilitate smooth communication and operational flow
• Oversee the use of vehicle dispatch software and GPS tracking tools to optimize routing efficiency, monitor vehicle locations, and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Handle multi-line phone systems for dispatch communication, managing inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and effective communication skills
• Maintain accurate data entry records related to freight movements, driver logs, shipment details, and internal documentation using Microsoft Office applications
• Ensure all dispatch activities comply with DOT regulations, 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) standards, and internal policies while managing emergency responses or incident reports when necessary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in road transportation operations or logistics management with a strong understanding of supply chain processes
• Proficiency in transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms
• Skilled in using GIS, GPS technology, vehicle dispatch software, and other fleet management tools to enhance operational efficiency
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analysis skills for route optimization, freight tracking, and performance reporting
• Exceptional communication skills for phone call management, internal coordination, and customer service interactions
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to vehicle operation, driver hours of service, and safety compliance
• Ability to handle data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities using Microsoft Office suite or similar applications

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
