Job summary

The Dispatch Rider will be responsible for collecting and delivering documents, parcels, and goods safely and promptly to customers, business partners, and designated locations. The successful candidate must be punctual, reliable, familiar with Lagos routes, and committed to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Timely pick-up, transportation, and delivery of parcels, documents, and goods to clients and company locations.
• Planning delivery routes, confirming delivery details, and maintaining accurate records of all dispatch activities.
• Ensuring proper handling of items, obtaining required signatures, and providing regular updates to the operations or logistics team.
• Perform basic motorcycle checks, adhere to traffic and safety regulations, and report any incidents, delays, or route challenges to supervisors.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Lagos routes, especially within Ikeja and surrounding areas, and ability to plan efficient delivery routes.
• Valid motorcycle rider’s license and proven experience as a dispatch rider or similar delivery role.
• Basic vehicle (motorcycle) maintenance skills, including routine checks for safety and performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and internal teams in a professional manner.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate delivery and pick-up records.
• Commitment to safety, compliance with traffic regulations, and careful handling of parcels and documents.
• Minimum of secondary school education (SSCE or equivalent); additional training in logistics or customer service is an advantage.
• Reliability, integrity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
