Dispatch Writer

Description Henner Tank Lines, Inc. – a premier contract carrier is looking for a motivated and professional Dispatch writer who works with the dispatcher to assist the day-to-day route operations. His/her duties involve daily communication and interaction with drivers and clients. He/she must also organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance of the drivers. We are Employee owned and LOCAL. Schedule

• Shift AM ( 4 Days On / 3 Days Off Schedule ) 6:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Shift Pm ( 4 Days On / 3 Days Off Schedule ) 5:00 Pm to 3:00 am

Compensation

• $22-$26 DOE
• Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.

Job Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Ability to Handle High volume of Phone calls.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
• Entering Load Information / Create loads in dispatch system
• Check the customer email’s and responds accordingly.
• Check dispatch board and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
• The ability to take on future work from the customer.
• Ability to learn inventory management systems. Additional Duties:
• Willing to take on other job duties as assigned by management to support the team and business operations.

Education

• High school or equivalent

Requirements Talent Requirements:

• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast pace environment.
• Effective Oral, written and Communication Skills.
• Demonstrate a high customer service commitment in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of the California Bay Area is a plus.
• Positive, patient and helpful attitude.
