About the role

We are seeking an experienced and organised Dispatcher to join the team at Basic Hauling and Logistic Inc. in Antipolo City, Rizal. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation services. As a Dispatcher, you will be the central hub of our operations, coordinating vehicle movements, managing routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to our clients. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliability and efficiency in the transport and logistics industry.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process customer orders and dispatch requests, entering accurate information into the system
• Assign jobs to drivers and vehicles based on location, capacity, delivery schedules and driver availability
• Monitor vehicle movements in real-time and track delivery progress throughout the day
• Communicate with drivers via radio or mobile devices to provide route guidance, handle urgent changes and address any issues that arise during transit
• Coordinate with customers to confirm delivery times and manage expectations regarding estimated arrival windows
• Maintain detailed logs and records of all dispatches, deliveries and vehicle movements
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints, escalating issues when necessary
• Optimise routes to minimise fuel costs, reduce travel time and improve overall operational efficiency
• Collaborate with warehouse and loading teams to ensure smooth handoffs and timely departures
• Report on dispatch metrics and performance data to management on a regular basis

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Dispatcher in the transport, logistics or hauling industry
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple dispatches simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers and team members
• Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS tracking systems and standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office
• Sound knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns and geographical areas served
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Customer service orientation with a commitment to meeting delivery commitments and resolving conflicts
• Valid driver's licence is advantageous
• Ability to work shift patterns, including early mornings and potential weekend work as required
