Taxi Dispatcher - Nights

Schedule: 20 hours per week (Friday & Saturday nights)

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (Starting rate, with a performance review and pay increase upon successful completion of your probationary period)

About the Role

Frankies Taxis is looking for a reliable and quick-thinking Night Shift Dispatcher to join our in-office team. Weekends are our busiest time, and we need a dedicated individual to help keep our drivers moving and our customers safe. You will be the central hub of our operations on Friday and Saturday nights, ensuring that every passenger gets a ride and every driver operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer high-volume inbound calls from customers promptly and professionally.
• Accurately log customer bookings, pickup locations, and specific ride details into our dispatch software.
• Allocate jobs to drivers efficiently to minimise customer wait times and maximise fleet productivity.
• Monitor the computerised dispatch system continuously to track driver availability and locations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing support and resolving any on-the-road issues.
• Maintain calm and clear communication during peak late-night rush hours.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be available to work late-night shifts every Friday and Saturday.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn our dispatch system.
• Excellent telephone manner with clear, confident verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize requests, and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Previous customer service, call center, or dispatch experience is a strong advantage.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
