Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our Non Emergency Medical Transportation team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the movement of our driving team, ensuring seamless communication between drivers, clients, and internal departments. Your proactive approach will help optimize routes, manage schedules efficiently, and uphold safety standards, on time service. This position requires understanding the layout of Houston and the great Houston Area. Bi-lingual preffered.

Duties

• Coordinate vehicle dispatching by assigning routes and schedules using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and apps to relay instructions, updates, and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor GPS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routing, and ensure timely transportation.
• Manage freight documentation, shipping & receiving logs, and data entry tasks accurately within logistics platforms like Oracle Transportation Management.
• Collaborate with insurance plan brokers to relay up to date information to the drivers.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally, managing internal communication channels, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the dispatch process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching preferred.
• Strong proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), vehicle dispatch software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of GPS technology, basic software programs and polite phone voice needed.
• Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in notating details in software programs.
• Ability to analyze operational data for route optimization and problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong typing skills combined with analysis capabilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
