**Title:**Dispatcher

Pay Rate Range:$20-$25 per hour

Location: 16-70 Weirfield St. Ridgewood, New York 11385

**Employment Type:**Full-Time

Availability: Must have open availability including nights and weekends

Shifts Available: Day shift or Overnight shift available. Please note schedules are subject to change based on operational needs

Responsibilities:

• Call Management: Handle high-volume intake calls, prioritize, and dispatch using CAD systems
• Resource Coordination: Determine the appropriate level of care and coordinate transport activities with field EMTs
• Customer Service: Provide courteous, friendly service to medical facilities, the public, and fellow EMS staff
• Trip Assignment: Assign trips to the appropriate resources based on needs and availability
• Billing Support: Collect patient billing information and assist with pre-billing activities.
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of transportation dispatch experience (EMS dispatch preferred)
• Emergency Medical Technician - EMT experience
• Strong geographical knowledge of service areas
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency in typing (40-45 WPM) and data entry experience
• Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
