Dispatcher

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Dispatcher to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English, have at least one year of dispatching or transportation experience, and be comfortable communicating directly with drivers to coordinate and arrange interstate transportation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with drivers regarding schedules, routes ,pickup and delivery information, and daily assignments.
• Coordinate and arrange interstate transportation.
• Dispatch drivers and monitor shipment progress.
• Communicate with customers carriers, brokers, and other transportation partners as needed.
• Follow up on pickup and delivery appointments.
• Update transportation records and ensure information is accurate.
• Resolve scheduling or transportation issues promptly.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with drivers and the operations team.

Experience

• Proven experience in road transportation operations or logistics dispatching within a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), vehicle dispatch software, and fleet management tools such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a multitasking environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry, reporting, and analysis purposes
• Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with a focus on phone etiquette and internal communication protocols
• Experience managing multi-line phone systems and handling customer service inquiries related to freight or shipping issues
• Ability to analyze logistical data for route optimization and problem-solving within transportation planning

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
