Dispatcher

A driver calls because a delivery window has changed. A crew needs an updated location. Something that looked straightforward on the schedule an hour ago suddenly needs rearranging.

That is where you come in.

We’re looking for a Dispatcher to join our Louisville operations team and help keep people, schedules, vehicles, and information moving throughout the day.

We’re not looking for someone who has already managed a dispatch department. If you are organized, comfortable talking to people, able to think clearly when plans change, and interested in learning how day-to-day operations work, you could be a strong fit.

What your day could look like

You’ll work alongside the wider operations team, keeping track of live schedules and helping make sure the right information reaches the right people.

You may be:

• Checking schedules, assignments, and availability at the start of your shift
• Answering calls and responding to routine dispatch questions
• Updating drivers, crews, or field teams when plans change
• Recording trip, equipment, delay, and scheduling information accurately
• Helping reorganize assignments when timing or availability changes
• Passing urgent or safety-related issues to the appropriate supervisor
• Keeping internal teams updated so everyone is working from the same information
• Preparing clear notes for the next person taking over coverage

You won’t be expected to solve everything alone. Part of becoming a strong dispatcher is knowing what you can handle and when something needs to be escalated.

You communicate clearly, stay organized when several things are happening at once, and can remain professional when someone on the other end of the phone is in a hurry.

Basic computer confidence and accurate data entry will also be important.

Pay, schedule and location

Pay: Starting at $20 per hour
Employment: Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: On-site in Louisville, Kentucky

The position includes rotating early or late coverage, with schedules communicated in advance.
