Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation operations efficiently. In this vital role, you will manage move scheduling, vehicle dispatching, and communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams. Your proactive approach will keep our company running smoothly while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch move jobs using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as IBS.
• Communicate clearly with drivers via multi-line phone systems to provide route updates, schedule changes, and support.
• Manage phone call intake and customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, adhering to phone etiquette standards.
• Monitor ELD data to track vehicle locations and optimize routes for efficiency.
• Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, delivery schedules, and internal communication logs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards during dispatching activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Dispatch planning or road transportation operations within a logistics or moving environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft including Word and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems such as IBS or vehicle dispatch software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone call management expertise.
• Ability to adhere to DOT regulations and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.50 per hour
