Position Overview: In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the movement of our fleet across multiple cities. The ideal candidate has a strong dispatching background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with the intermodal trucking industry in Kansas City.

Duties

• Manage fleet operations by scheduling and dispatching vehicles efficiently.
• Manage and coordinate the movement of intermodal containers in compliance with company guidelines and customer expectations.
• Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to provide updates on delivery status.
• Analyze logistics data to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities.
• Employ GPS technology to monitor vehicle locations and ensure timely arrivals.
• Handle phone systems with professionalism, addressing inquiries from clients and drivers promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues that may arise during transportation processes.
• Work with drivers, warehouses, and customers to optimize scheduling and ensure on-time performance.
• Resolve any operational issues promptly to minimize delays and optimize efficiency.
• Track shipments and manage driver dispatch across multiple cities with a primary focus on the Dallas market.
• Provide clear communication to drivers, customers, and the management team regarding any scheduling changes or updates.

Requirements

• 2+ years of intermodal dispatching experience.
• Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management
• Geographical knowledge and work experience in Kansas City
• Familiarity with fleet management practices and transportation planning.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions quickly.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
• Proficiency in using GPS systems and other relevant technology.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be willing to travel as requested by the Company for training and other needs; percentage of travel time expected to be less than 25% each year.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
