Disputes Analyst (US Schedule)

The Deductions Analyst is a mission-critical role accountable for reducing aged deductions, accelerating dispute resolution, and protecting cash realization across a complex global deductions’ portfolio . The role exists to turn open deductions into closed financial outcomes —approved credit, denied claim / recovery, write-off recommendation, or formal escalation—while driving down backlog, improving dispute cycle time, and preventing repeat causes.

This role is required because unresolved deductions directly distort aging, delay cash collection, increase write-off risk, and weaken working-capital performance. The successful candidate must bring strong analytical capability, structured case ownership, and the ability to drive action across AR teams, client Finance organization, Sales, Pricing, Customer Service, Logistics. This is not a reporting role ; it is a resolution role with measurable accountability for deduction burn-down.

What you will do:

• Own end-to-end resolution of complex deductions, short pays, claims, and customer disputes across global portfolios, including high-value and aged items.
• Review, classify, and manage deductions with a clear action path for each case.
• Investigate deduction root causes across pricing, promotions, shortages, freight, logistics, returns, rebates, documentation gaps, billing errors, customer master issues, and contractual interpretation .
• Drive resolution through structured follow-up with internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring every deduction has a clearly assigned owner, next step, due date, and closure path.
• Maintain a centralized live tracker / single source of truth for deductions, including aging, value at risk, ownership, action status, and escalation points .
• Enforce disciplined case progression and escalate stalled items quickly where business input, commercial approval, credit note action, or policy interpretation is overdue.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Pricing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Collections to secure approvals, validate claims, recover invalid deductions, and close open cases.
• Lead focused reviews for aged or high-value customers / portfolios , including war-room style follow-up when needed to accelerate closure.
• Drive timely processing of resolution outcomes in ERP, including credit note requests, denials, re-bills, write-off recommendation support, and case closure documentation.
• Produce root-cause insights and trend analysis on recurring deduction categories and recommend preventive actions to reduce future intake.
• Support governance reviews with clear reporting on backlog movement, cycle time, aged exposure, recovery outcomes, SLA breaches, and high-risk dependencies .

What will make you successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics , or related discipline.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in deductions, claims, dispute resolution, collections, or AR operations in a global shared services / BPO / complex enterprise environment .
• Strong experience managing high-value, high-volume, and commercially complex deductions across multiple customers and geographies.
• Proven record of improving backlog, aged deductions, dispute cycle time, and recovery / closure outcomes .
• Experience working with deduction-heavy environments involving short pays, pricing disputes, promotional claims, logistics / shortage claims, documentation issues, and cross-functional approvals .
• Experience operating in governance-led environments with regular KPI reviews, trackers, escalation protocols, and SLA discipline.
• Strong ERP knowledge required; SAP strongly preferred . Experience with reporting / case-management tools such as Power BI, workflow systems, or deduction tracking tools is advantageous.
• Strong Excel and analytical capability required.
