Distinguished AI Engineer (Remote Eligible)

For our client, we are seeking a Distinguished AI Engineer (remote Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $244,700 – $279,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI products that transform customer interactions
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support various AI software components
• Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies for project execution
• Implement advanced LLM optimization techniques for production AI systems
• Contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap of AI systems at the company

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with extensive AI and ML development experience
• 8+ years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
• Expertise in deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience with LLM Inference, Similarity Search and VectorDBs, and optimization techniques
