We help local businesses connect with communities across Hampshire through print advertising and marketing services.
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and reliable Distribution Coordinator to manage our network of distributors and ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our magazines and leaflets.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining administration, people coordination, route management and the physical preparation of leaflets for distribution.
The position is part-time, working 15 hours per week, with flexibility required to meet distribution schedules and the changing needs of the business.
The Role
As Distribution Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of our distribution network, ensuring that delivery routes are allocated, distributors are supported and materials are prepared and delivered efficiently.
You will be the main point of contact for our distributors, helping to recruit, induct and retain a reliable team while maintaining accurate route information and monitoring distribution progress.
The role also includes hands-on work preparing leaflets for delivery, including sorting, packing and handling boxes of printed materials.
We are looking for someone who enjoys a mix of office-based administration, working with people and practical tasks.
Key Responsibilities1. Distribution Planning & Route Management
- Allocate distributors to delivery routes using Round Control.
- Plan and coordinate distribution schedules to ensure all routes are covered.
- Remap and adjust delivery routes when required to improve efficiency and ensure smooth distribution.
- Arrange alternative cover when distributors are unavailable.
- Maintain accurate records of route allocations, delivery areas and distribution progress.
- Ensure distribution deadlines are met and resolve any operational issues promptly.
- Distributor Communication & Support
- Act as the main point of contact for all distributors, communicating via email, telephone and text message.
- Respond to distributor queries and provide guidance and support.
- Communicate route allocations, delivery schedules and any changes clearly and promptly.
- Build positive working relationships with distributors to encourage reliability and long-term retention.
- Identify and address issues that may affect distributor satisfaction or performance.
- Support initiatives to reduce distributor turnover and maintain a dependable distribution network.
- Distributor Recruitment & Induction
- Recruit suitable distributors to cover existing and new delivery routes.
- Assess applicants based on their location, proximity to available routes and suitability for the work.
- Establish whether potential distributors have suitable storage space for magazines and leaflets awaiting delivery.
- Coordinate recruitment communications and arrange inductions for successful applicants.
- Organise and deliver induction sessions for new distributors, including training on Round Control and distribution procedures.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately before distributors begin their routes.
- Provide ongoing support to new recruits to help them settle into their roles.
- Distribution Tracking & Quality Control
- Ensure all distributors correctly track their delivery routes using Round Control.
- Monitor route tracking and distribution progress.
- Follow up with distributors where tracking is incomplete or deliveries are outstanding.
- Investigate and resolve delivery issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of completed distribution.
- Identify opportunities to improve distribution quality, accountability and efficiency.
- Leaflet Sorting, Packing & Preparation
- Sort and organise printed leaflets according to individual distribution routes.
- Accurately count and allocate leaflet quantities for each route.
- Pack and box leaflets ready for dispatch to distributors.
- Clearly label boxes to ensure materials are sent to the correct distributors.
- Organise printed materials to ensure distribution deadlines are met.
- Maintain a tidy, organised and safe working area.
- Assist with moving and handling boxes of magazines and leaflets as required.
Important: This role involves regular physical activity and manual handling. Applicants must be able to carry out the physical requirements of the position safely, including standing, sorting printed materials and lifting or moving boxes, with appropriate training, equipment and assistance provided where required. Some boxes may be heavy.
- Distribution Development & Expansion

- Support general distribution administration and operational tasks as required.
