Distribution Planning Manager

Role Description The Distribution Planning Manager role at Mentores con Propósito is a part-time remote position focused on optimizing product availability across channels while controlling inventory levels. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining distribution plans, analyzing demand patterns, and coordinating with supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely replenishment. The Distribution Planning Manager will monitor inventory metrics, identify risks such as stockouts or overstock, and propose corrective actions. Day-to-day tasks include creating forecasts, adjusting inventory targets, preparing reports and dashboards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in distribution processes. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, documenting procedures, and contributing to data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Planning and Inventory Management to establish appropriate stock levels and maintain accurate records across locations.
• Candidates should possess skills in Demand Planning and Supply Chain Management to forecast product needs and coordinate end-to-end replenishment and distribution activities.
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, build reports, identify trends, and support evidence-based recommendations.
• Candidates should have proficiency with spreadsheet and planning tools (e.g., Excel, planning software) and basic data visualization or reporting tools.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, part-time environment.
• Candidates should have effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• A background in logistics, operations, business, or a related field, along with experience in distribution or supply chain roles, is highly beneficial.
