Location: Uddingston, Glasgow – Bothwell Depot

Contract: Full-time. Permanent.

Shift: Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday

About the Role:

Due to increased growth and exciting expansion plans in our New Bothwell Site, Lynas is seeking a proactive Distribution Supervisor to assist the Distribution Manager with the implementation of distribution plans, allowing the team to meet current/future customer service requirements. The successful candidate will continually improve cost efficiency/quality of service in line with the Distribution Centre goals. They will also assist in maintaining operational standards of Health & Safety and ensure company policies are complied with within the department.

The successful candidate will report directly to our Distribution Manager.

What You’ll be doing:

Managing Processes including site security

• Compliance/management of all warehouse and delivery processes across the site
• Ensure security procedures are adhered to and managed.

Performance Management

• Support management in monitoring driver performance standards and performance improvement

Equipment/Facility Maintenance

• Ensure all equipment and MHE are maintained and used correctly
• Ensuring facility maintenance and hygiene are maintained to the highest standard

Health & Safety Management

• Management of health and safety, incident reporting, and investigation, reporting all incident to line manager

What we’re looking for

• Strong logistics and transport supervisory experience. 1-2 years experience in Food Service is desirable.
• Strong business acumen with commercial awareness.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, routing software and Power BI.
• Class 1 or Class 2 Licence (or equivalent).
• Understanding of transport compliance and legislative requirements.
• Experience in resource planning and operational management.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) desirable.
• Relevant logistics qualification or equivalent experience desirable.
• Good geographical knowledge of Scotland & Northern England

You'll work closely with the distribution team and play an important part in supporting Lynas' continued growth and success.
