Distribution/Terminal Operator

We have an immediate opening on our Distribution team as a Terminal Operator. Key responsibilities include:

• Reviews daily truck and railcar delivery and shipping schedule to be aware of workday’s logistics activities.
• Processes shipments of incoming and outgoing chemicals safely and accurately.
• Completes railcar and daily inventory log sheet accurately and timely.
• Performs minor maintenance repairs and housekeeping duties in the plant as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of standard office procedures
• General knowledge of chemistry principles, preferred.
• Effective organizational skills to ensure an orderly and safe workplace
• General knowledge of protocol to safely load and unload chemicals from various forms of transportation methods (rail, truck, ISO containers, etc.).
• Ability to learn HAZCOM handling procedures.
• Strong commitment and ability to practice required health and safety practices and precautions using chemical production equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute written instructions.
• Attentive listening skills to carry out verbal instructions accurately and precisely.
• Ability to learn and operate laboratory equipment to obtain accurate result.
• Ability to understand and perform mathematical calculations.
• Computer skills and abiltiy to learn Smartsheets, excel, and inventory management system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
