Assemblymember Dr. Sharp-Collins is seeking to fill a full-time job opening

for a District Director to oversee district office operations in the 79th Assembly

District. The ideal candidate has experience in managing a district office, is

forward-thinking, and has strong communication skills and the ability to work

effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities include supervising staff

and coordinating operations in the district office; interfacing and updating the

Assemblymember on district issues; developing and expanding community

outreach efforts; and building and maintaining relationships with local elected

officials, community leaders, stakeholders, and constituents. The District

Director will also have the responsibility of planning, overseeing, and staffing

numerous district events hosted by the Assemblymember in addition to other

duties as required.

Candidates must have four years of legislative experience with supervisory or

lead experience, a reliable source of transportation to attend in-person

meetings and events, the ability to assist with setting up tables, the office

canopy, and other equipment for events as needed, and be able to work a

flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.

The Assembly salary range for this position is $8,016 - $13,942 monthly.

Significant experience within the Legislature and in a similar role is required

to reach the higher end of the range.
