District Engineer - Cementing & Acidizing

Location: Midland/Odessa, TX (Permian Basin)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $140,000-$150,000 per year

Job Overview Our client, an independent oilfield cementing and acidizing services company operating in the Permian Basin, is seeking an experienced District Engineer to support engineering design, field operations, and technical sales activities.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of engineering experience with an oilfield services company, with a strong background in oilfield cementing. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential.

This position involves coordinating with the laboratory, bulk plant, acid dock, operations, and sales teams to develop effective treatment designs and deliver technical solutions that meet customer requirements. Candidates must be located in the Midland/Odessa area.

Key Responsibilities

• Design cement slurry systems, spacer systems, and acid blends based on job requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals and supporting engineering documentation.
• Perform pre-job hydraulic simulations and post-job pressure-matching analysis.
• Coordinate with the laboratory on cement and spacer testing requirements.
• Provide onsite engineering support to operations teams and customers during cementing and acidizing jobs as needed.
• Support technical sales activities and assist in developing customer relationships.
• Present key performance indicator (KPI) data and technical results to customers.
• Evaluate job performance and optimize engineering designs to improve results and meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with operations, laboratory, bulk plant, acid dock, and sales teams to ensure effective job planning and execution.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of oilfield engineering experience with an oilfield services company.
• At least 2 years of oilfield cementing experience.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management, organization, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, laboratory, and sales teams.
• Must be located in or able to reside in the Midland/Odessa area.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of CemPro experience.
• At least 1 year of acidizing experience.
• Experience with cement slurry design, spacer systems, acid blending, hydraulic simulations, and post-job analysis.
• Experience preparing technical proposals and presenting engineering results to customers.
