Our Purpose

At Yarra Trams, we’re not just moving people — we’re moving Melbourne. Your journey is our passion, and it drives everything we do. From the tracks to the teams behind them, we’re committed to delivering world-class service — and it all starts with passionate people like you.

We're looking for a passionate and purpose-driven Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator to help create a workplace where everyone feels they belong. Reporting to the Director, Aboriginal and Social Inclusion, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering initiatives that strengthen inclusion, accessibility, cultural diversity and employee belonging across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver positive organisational change while helping shape a more inclusive future for Yarra Trams and the communities we serve.

About the role

Reporting into our Director, Aboriginal and Social Inclusion , this role will:

  • Implement Yarra Trams' Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy and associated action plans.
  • Co-design, deliver and evaluate impactful DEI programs, campaigns and initiatives that support an inclusive and equitable workplace.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders, employees, employee networks and external stakeholders to embed inclusive practices across the organisation.
  • Monitor diversity metrics and support reporting requirements.
  • Support the training, awareness and capability-building initiatives that strengthen inclusive leadership and psychologically safe workplaces.

About You

This role will suit a diversity and inclusion practitioner, HR professional, OD practitioner, people and culture specialist, or project professional who is passionate about creating meaningful workplace change and fostering a strong sense of belonging for all employees.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, programs or projects within a complex organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of diversity frameworks, contemporary inclusion practices and relevant legislation.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively to deliver impactful change.
  • The ability to use data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
