Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines efficiently, ensuring all dishes, cookware, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety procedures.
• Manually handle and organize dishware, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent breakage or contamination.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, including sinks, counters, and surrounding surfaces, adhering to sanitation standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting the culinary team in meal service operations.
• Follow all food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and clearing used dishes promptly during busy service periods.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and related tools, while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards required for maintaining a hygienic workspace.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail in cleaning procedures and food handling practices.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment operation are advantageous.
• Experience in catering or banquet settings is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
