Dock Lead / Backup Driver

Schedule: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Weekend Coverage: Saturdays may be required based on business needs.

About the Position

Waylanders Delivery is looking for a Dock Lead / Backup Driver to join our Atlanta operations team. This is a hands-on role supporting our daily dock, warehouse, yard, and final-mile delivery operations.

The Dock Lead will help keep the dock organized and freight moving efficiently while ensuring orders are accurately received, scanned, staged, loaded, and ready for delivery. This position will also provide backup driving coverage when needed, including vacations, absences, peak periods, and other operational needs.

What You'll Do

• Receive, unload, inspect, scan, stage, and organize freight.
• Organize freight by customer, route, and delivery date.
• Assist with loading and securing freight for delivery.
• Verify freight counts, labels, manifests, and scans.
• Identify and communicate shortages, damages, overages, and other freight issues.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Provide backup driving coverage when needed.
• Complete residential and commercial final-mile deliveries.
• Perform required vehicle inspections and delivery documentation.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
• Help train new associates on warehouse procedures and safe freight handling.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of warehouse, dock, logistics, transportation, or final-mile experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Box truck or straight truck driving experience
• Forklift experience
• High school diploma or GED

Pay: $62,000.00 per year
