Dock Services Technician

We're building a team that is focused on enhancing the experience of our members and guests at Savannah Lakes Village. Our Dock Services Technicians build, install, and maintain the community's boat docks and shoreline facilities, working on the water in all weather conditions.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting to the Dock Maintenance Foreman, the Dock Services Technician helps construct, install, maintain, and repair SLV boat docks and shoreline facilities. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble prefabricated metal dock frames, components, and decking
• Install anchoring and mooring equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and monthly dock inspections
• Install and repair dock electrical systems
• Relocate docks as water levels change
• Operate work boats, tractors, loaders, and hand and power tools
• Lead the crew when the Foreman is away

Here's what we are looking for:

• A great attitude and a drive for continuously improving
• Boat handling experience (required)
• 3+ years of dock construction and metal trades/prefabricated assembly experience
• Ability to read plans and schematics
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs occasionally)
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
