Duties

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse and dock areas
• Assist with order picking by accurately selecting items based on shipping labels and order sheets.
• At times, perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to ergonomic guidelines to prevent injury
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
• Organize incoming shipments for storage or outbound delivery, verifying quantities against shipping documents with basic math skills
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace that promotes safety and efficiency for all team members

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge or familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as forklifts
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for shipment counts and commodity verification
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long periods of standing, walking, or operating equipment
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to forklift operation and warehouse procedures is highly desirable
