About the role

We are seeking a qualified Doctor to join our medical team at our Kota Kinabalu, Sabah facility on a full-time basis. As a Doctor, you will play a pivotal role in providing direct patient care, diagnosing medical conditions and developing treatment plans. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering excellent healthcare services to our patients and contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of the Kota Kinabalu community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient consultations and medical examinations to assess health status and identify medical conditions
• Diagnose illnesses and health conditions based on patient symptoms, medical history and clinical findings
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Prescribe appropriate medications and medical treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices
• Perform minor clinical procedures as required within your scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records for all patients seen
• Provide health education and preventative care advice to patients
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
• Refer patients to specialists or hospital services when necessary
• Stay current with medical developments and adhere to professional standards and regulations

What we're looking for

• Valid medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent qualification) from a recognised institution
• Current and valid medical registration with the Malaysian Medical Council or equivalent regulatory body
• Full completion of compulsory housemanship or internship requirements
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings
• Excellent diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to patient safety and adherence to medical ethics and professional standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken)
• Preference given to candidates with experience in general practice or community healthcare settings
