Document Controller

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check, log, organize, and distribute project and company documents.

• Maintain an updated Document Register/Document Control Log for all projects.

• Monitor the status of drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, transmittals, shop drawings, material approvals, and other technical documents.

• Maintain project folders and keep hardcopy of all turnover documents

• Complete and follow up pending requirements needed for billing purposes

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Engineering, Procurement, and subcontractors regarding document requirements and submissions.

• Assist in preparing complete project turnover files

• Compile as-built drawings, test reports, warranties, certificates, permits and other close-out documents

• Monitor and follow up on outstanding close-out requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or other related courses

• Previous experience in construction document control, project coordination, estimating, or engineering administration is an advantage.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledgeable in organizing and maintaining project documents and drawings

• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple project documents
