Background

Our client is seeking an experienced Document Controller to support document management across a high-density construction project. The role will work closely with the Design Manager and wider project team, ensuring project documentation is accurate, organised, accessible and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documents, drawings, correspondence, reports and technical submissions.
• Control the receipt, registration, distribution, filing and version control of project documentation.
• Maintain document registers, trackers and reporting logs, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Upload and organise documentation using Procore and other document management systems.
• Monitor document workflows, approvals, reviews and submissions to ensure deadlines are met.
• Issue drawings and revised documentation to project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Support the management of RFIs, technical submittals and project handover documentation.
• Prepare regular status reports and maintain audit-ready project records.

Key skills required

• Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
• Experience using Procore or similar document management systems.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
