Documentum Developer

For our client, we are seeking a Documentum Developer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting enterprise content management solutions that enable secure, compliant, and efficient document-driven operations. You will partner with architects, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrations, modernizations, and enhancements across complex technical environments. The position will also play a key role in improving repository performance, guiding governance standards, and supporting upgrade and migration efforts.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $107,500 – $204,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, customization, and deployment of Documentum-based applications
• Develop and maintain Documentum objects including workflows, lifecycles, job definitions, TBOs/SBOs, and custom components
• Integrate Documentum with enterprise platforms, APIs, and external systems
• Optimize performance, scalability, and security of Documentum repositories
• Support upgrade planning, environment migrations, and modernization of legacy Documentum applications
• Troubleshoot complex issues in Documentum servers, repositories, and application layers
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
• Ensure adherence to compliance, retention, and regulatory requirements across document-centric processes
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to ECM governance, design standards, and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText Documentum development, including D2, xCP, Webtop, Composer, and Administrator
• Strong proficiency in Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC), Documentum REST, Java, and related integration frameworks
• Experience designing and implementing workflows, lifecycles, metadata models, and document security policies
• Understanding of enterprise content management principles, information architecture, and document governance
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and deliver clear, actionable solutions
