Dog Bather

Job Overview

• We are seeking a patient, attentive Dog Bather to help keep dogs clean, comfortable, and well cared for during their grooming visits.
• You’ll support a welcoming experience for pets and their owners by handling dogs gently, following safe bathing practices, and providing friendly customer service.
• This is a hands-on role in a busy grooming environment, with opportunities to build practical animal-care and grooming skills.

Duties

• Greet pet owners, listen to basic care instructions, and help ensure a positive customer experience.
• Bathe, rinse, dry, and brush dogs according to their coat type and grooming instructions.
• Handle dogs calmly and safely throughout bathing and drying.
• Prepare and clean bathing areas, tools, and equipment between appointments.
• Monitor dogs for signs of stress or discomfort and promptly alert the appropriate team member.
• Assist with moving dogs as needed, including heavy lifting when safely required.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitary.

Requirements

• A caring, patient approach to working with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and coat types.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting when needed.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Previous experience bathing or caring for dogs is helpful but not required.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
