Job Overview
We are growing and looking for a PAWSOME GROOMER to join our team where wagging tails and happy staff are our priority! We are growing quickly and looking to add another talented groomer to our team in a part-time or full-time position. Do you have a true passion for animals and a desire to raise the standard of care for pets, making each pet's comfort and wellbeing a priority? Do you have grooming experience and a talent to create happy, healthy, and beautifully cared-for pets? If you answered yes, then this team is for you! We can offer a Flexible Schedule and pay is negotiable based on experience, certification, clientele, and availability. Cat grooming experience is a PLUS but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and de-matting to meet breed standards and customer preferences
• Handle dogs safely and compassionately, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure a stress-free grooming session
• Assess each pet’s coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special care instructions, and pet behavior during sessions
• Assist with pet handling tasks such as bathing, drying, brushing, and nail trimming using proper animal handling techniques
• Support team members with additional animal care duties as needed, including cleaning.

Requirements

• Pet Grooming certification is a plus; Grooming experience is required
• Experience in cat grooming is a plus but not required
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain pets safely and confidently during grooming procedures
• Experience working with veterinary technicians or veterinary assistants is advantageous for understanding health considerations
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly for bathing tubs, equipment setup, or moving supplies
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and address their concerns professionally
• A genuine love for animals combined with patience, compassion, strong work ethic, and attention to detail

Pay: $60,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Pet grooming: 2 years (Required)
