Dog Groomer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. This role requires both technical skills and excellent customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by following hygiene protocols.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming.
• Handle animals safely and humanely, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
• Assist with heavy lifting of larger animals as needed during the grooming process.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians or other staff members when necessary for the overall care of the animals.

Experience

• Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with animal care practices, including knowledge of different breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques.
• Experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
• Skills in dog training or equine care can enhance your candidacy.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their needs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger dogs or equipment.
• A background in kennel management or animal restraint is beneficial.

Pay: $150.00 - $300.00 per day
