Responsibilities
As a Dog Kennel Tech, you will:

• Provide exceptional care for dogs by feeding, exercising, and grooming them as needed.
• Monitor the health and behavior of all animals in your care, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
• Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Assist with dog training and socialization activities to promote positive behaviors.
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during grooming or medical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors.
• Support veterinary staff by assisting with examinations and treatments when necessary.
• Engage in customer service activities to create a welcoming atmosphere for pet owners.

Experience
To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience in dog handling and animal care, ideally in a kennel or veterinary setting.
• Familiarity with basic dog training principles.
• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or moving equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
