Dog Trainer

Dog Trainer (No Experience Required) | Academy Pathway with a Guaranteed Job

The Dog Wizard Coral Gables · Miami-Dade · $25/hr · 20 hrs/week minimum
We're growing in Miami and we need our next trainer. You don't need experience. You need patience with dogs, ease with people, and a real intention to build a career.

How this works (read this first)

The role starts with The Dog Wizard Academy, our franchise's professional trainer certification. The academy is tuition-based and the trainee covers it. We'll walk you through cost and schedule on the first call.
Here's our side of the deal: graduate and pass our final evaluation, and the job is yours. We put that in a written agreement before you enroll. You don't train and then go job hunting. You train into a position that's already waiting.
What you get

• $25/hour with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week
• Performance bonuses
• Equity participation after 12 months, based on performance
• Company vehicle for client work
• Flexible schedule
• Clients brought to you. We handle marketing, intake and booking.

What you'll do

• Run Board & Train programs, with at least two dogs living and training with you at the same time
• Teach in-home private lessons, coaching owners as much as dogs
• Send owners regular updates, photos and progress notes
• Build relationships with local groomers, vets, rescues and pet stores
• Be a known face in the Miami dog community

Who you are

• Detail-oriented. You notice small changes in a dog's behavior and you write them down.
• A go-getter who wants to grow with the business
• Reliable. You answer clients and the team the same day.
• Comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including reactive ones
• You have a home where two dogs can safely stay during Board & Train
• Valid driver's license
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
