Overview
The Woof Pack Chelsea is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Walker to join our team as an assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our team in providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and wellbeing during walks. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about dogs, enjoy spending time outdoors and thrive in service providing roles.

You will be joining our team of three. Beth,Tassy & Ana currently work in Chelsea and Fulham providing group walks for small and medium dogs. Your role will be assisting our full-time walkers regularly throughout Tuesdays Wednesday and Thursdays, but you will also be required to cover holiday time - so the applicant does need to be flexible.

This role is initially part-time but can grow to full-time for the right candidate. We are a growing company and excited about expanding our team.

Responsibilities:

• Join our dog walkers on the group pack walks, Monday to Friday, in all weathers (applicants must be available between 9.30am and 4pm weekdays - this does not mean you will be walking for all of those hours).
• Assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of the dogs in your care
• Provide exercise and mental stimulation for the dogs.
• You may required to pick up some dogs from the owners and walk them to the park on foot to meet the rest of the group.
• Assist in cleaning up after the dogs during walks.
• Cleaning duties - cleaning the vans.
• Monitor the behaviour and health of the dogs and report any concerns to the owner of the business

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service is essential to ensure a positive experience for pet owners.
• A background in animal care or veterinary practices is highly desirable to provide informed care for the dogs.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting as required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and understand their specific requirements.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their safety and wellbeing is crucial.
• Flexibility in scheduling is preferred to accommodate varying walk times throughout the week.
• Must have a clean full UK driving license as we will provide you with a vehicle.

We cover Fulham & Chelsea and specialise in group walks for small and medium dogs. All our dogs are assessed for friendly and fun behaviour before joining The Woof Pack. We prioritise joy on our walks whilst always maintaining the safety of the dogs in our care.

You must have good spoken/written English, be computer literate and able to use a smartphone. You must also have a full UK Driving license. Written proof will be needed to show that you are eligible to work in the UK. 2 written references are required along with a DBS check (we can help you obtain this certificate).

You will also be required to complete an online dog behaviour course before starting work and a Dog First Aid Training. The First Aid Training is often on weekends - so please only apply if you are willing to do this. You will be paid for your time completing these courses and the courses will be paid for by your employer.

This is a role that would suit a dog lover who has plenty of free time and is not looking for a 'fill in' job whilst looking for permanent employment.
