Donation Driver

As a Donation Driver, you will be responsible for safely collecting, transporting, and delivering donations, ensuring a positive experience for donors and recipients alike. Duties

• Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles to pick up and deliver donations across designated routes.
• Load and unload donated items using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Follow all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines to ensure safe driving and compliance on every trip.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices, documenting pickup and drop-off details efficiently.
• Assist with warehouse operations by moving donations within storage areas using manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with donors, recipients, and team members during pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles are well-maintained, report any mechanical issues promptly, and perform routine safety checks before each shift.

Experience

• Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred.
• Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with a focus on commercial driving or van driving; proficiency in manual transmission is a plus.
• Experience handling heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of traffic regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, documentation, and communication during deliveries.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts; previous experience with courier or load & unload duties is advantageous.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
