Objective:

We are looking to add enthusiastic and hard-working team members to our EMG family! This position will work in our fabrication facility as a Machine Programmer & Fabrication Manager which includes programing the RhinoFAB machine, overseeing the fabrication schedule, and enhancing processes. · Receive and check in materials for the assigned fabrication department (doors) utilizing quality control methods

· Program the Door RhinoFAB machines (similar to CNC machines) which cut, drill, and route aluminum; this includes programming with a computer-based glazing software, maintenance of the software, and maintenance of the physical machine

· Work with tight dimensions when programming the RhinoFAB machine – sometimes building aluminum doors from scratch including unique door hardware; determining how this will alter certain dimensions and how it will operate within the door and frame system

· Read and understand shop drawings/blueprints/plans created from our in-house CAD Drafting department in order to apply them to fabrication and ensure accurate dimensions

· Create fabrication drawings showing dimensions, door swings, sightlines, hardware, any custom fabrication, and more in order to communicate information to the fabrication team in a way that everyone understands

· Work in coordination with the machine operator and other fabricators to understand lead times and abilities

· Coordinate with other positions to ensure receiving and fabrication will line up with loading/deliveries and vice versa in order to keep installation of windows/doors moving forward across numerous jobsites

· Learn and understand the commercial glazing industry, vernacular, hardware, and pieces that are required for a variety of systems

· Maintain a high level of quality control of materials that are fabricated in coordination with the Director of Manufacturing Operations

· Other duties as assigned

Skills/Requirements:

· Must be computer literate - able to independently maneuver through a computer, emails, e-files, and software

· Technical minded and detail oriented

· Great problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication – listening, verbal, and written

· Strong understanding of Microsoft products: Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Proactive instead of reactive work mentality

Experience/Certifications:
