Job Overview

We are seeking energetic and vigilant Door Staff to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our venue. As a key frontline presence, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, managing access control, and providing excellent customer service to all patrons and visitors. Your proactive approach and strong security skills will help create a safe, welcoming atmosphere for everyone attending our events. Responsibilities

• Manage entry and exit points by verifying identification and performing background checks when necessary
• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and perform regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks
• Enforce access control policies, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas
• Respond swiftly to incidents, utilizing conflict de-escalation techniques and emergency response procedures as needed
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches or disturbances
• Perform physical security tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and patrolling to maintain a secure environment
• Operate security equipment including Taser devices, firearms (where licensed), AEDs, and other emergency tools in accordance with regulations
• Provide first aid and CPR when required, ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests and staff
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to uphold compliance with security regulations
• Maintain high standards of customer service by assisting patrons courteously while enforcing venue policies

Experience

• Prior experience in security roles, military service, or law enforcement is highly desirable
• Proven ability to handle conflict situations with professionalism and confidence
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, access control systems, and incident report writing
• Training or certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, firearm handling, Taser use, and emergency response procedures is preferred
• Familiarity with physical security practices including patrolling, heavy lifting, manual handling, and incident management
• Strong understanding of compliance with security regulations and safety protocols
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform background checks and perform conflict de-escalation effectively
