Door King is looking for an experienced Commercial Door Technician to join our field team. This position will work with a partner performing commercial door repairs, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

We are looking for someone with real hands-on mechanical experience who understands commercial doors and hardware and can work safely, follow directions, communicate with the team, and take pride in doing the job correctly.

This position does not require access-control, low-voltage, or electrical experience.

What You'll Work On

• Hollow metal and steel doors
• Fire-rated doors and frames
• Aluminum storefront doors
• Commercial glass doors and entrance systems
• Door closers
• Panic bars and exit devices
• Continuous hinges, pivots, and standard commercial hinges
• Locks, latches, and commercial door hardware
• Door and frame adjustments
• Commercial door replacements and installations
• Rolling steel doors
• Sectional overhead doors
• Commercial overhead door hardware
• General commercial door repairs and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Repair and install commercial doors and hardware
• Diagnose mechanical door and hardware problems
• Repair and replace closers, hinges, pivots, panic devices, locks, and related hardware
• Work on hollow-metal, fire-rated, and storefront door systems
• Perform overhead and rolling door repairs and installations
• Work alongside a partner to complete jobs safely and efficiently
• Properly use company-provided tools and equipment
• Take accurate measurements and identify needed parts/materials
• Follow job instructions, company procedures, and checklists
• Provide accurate job notes, photos, measurements, and documentation
• Communicate clearly with the office and other technicians
• Maintain a clean and professional jobsite
• Treat customers and their property professionally
• Help troubleshoot mechanical problems in the field
• Take responsibility for the quality of your work

What We're Looking For

We want someone who already has commercial door experience and understands how commercial doors and hardware work.

Experience with overhead doors is strongly preferred.

You should be mechanically inclined, comfortable using tools, capable of troubleshooting problems, and willing to work closely with another technician.

You must be dependable, able to follow directions, communicate with the team, and document your work properly.

A valid driver's license is required.

Compensation

$30.00 per hour

Full-time position with consistent commercial door work.

Tools needed to perform the work will be provided as necessary.
