About the Role

We are hiring reliable Door-to-Door Canvassers for a non-profit campaign in the Corpus Christi area.

Your job is straightforward: walk an assigned neighborhood, knock on doors, follow the provided campaign script, ask a few questions, and record each interaction accurately in the campaign app. VERY DENSE DOOR LOCATIONS.

No previous canvassing or political experience is required. Training, a script, turf assignments, and instructions will be provided.

How You Get Paid

This is performance-based 1099 contractor pay, not a guaranteed hourly wage. Actual earnings depend on the number of verified doors completed.

Pay Schedule

The work week runs Monday through Saturday, with payment scheduled for the following Tuesday.

What Counts as a Door?

A door counts when the campaign app verifies that you were at the assigned location and you correctly record the outcome.

For example:

• No one answers → record Not Home
• Someone answers but declines to participate → record Refused
• Conversation completed → record the appropriate result in the app

Accurate reporting is required for payment.

Performance Expectations

Our target is approximately 20 verified doors per hour with a 15%+ contact/take rate.

The take rate measures how often someone answers the door and interacts with the canvasser.

Performance will be reviewed regularly. Continued participation in the project depends on meeting the campaign's established performance and reporting requirements.

Schedule

Working hours: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Minimum shift: 4 hours

You may choose to work part-time or full-time, depending on your availability and campaign needs.

If you commit to a shift, you are expected to arrive on time and be ready to begin canvassing at your scheduled start time.

What You Need

• Smartphone with reliable mobile service
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to walk neighborhoods for several hours
• Comfortable speaking with people at their homes
• Ability to follow a script and campaign instructions
• Ability to accurately use a mobile app
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 16+
• Must successfully complete any required background screening

Campaign experience is not required.
